How is the measurement on the Breastmilk Storage Bags read?
Because the Breastmilk Storage Bags are flexible, the measurement shown can vary depending on the shape of the bag when viewed. To measure the breastmilk in the bag, it is recommended to gently tap the bottom of the bag against a hard surface, as this will allow the folds along the bottom of the bag to fully open. The most accurate measurement will be in a hard-plastic container like a bottle; and up to 6oz of milk may be transferred into the milk storage bag.

What is the best way to thaw a frozen Breastmilk Storage Bag?
When thawing breastmilk, please remember to handle it as gently as possible to preserve all the valuable nutrients. Frozen Breastmilk Storage Bags can be thawed in the refrigerator or at room temperature, depending on the required speed of thawing. The frozen sealed bag may also be placed in a bowl of warm tap water; please never use extremely hot or boiling water on a stovetop. DO NOT microwave the milk to defrost, as this process may destroy nutrients in the milk, and create “hot spots” that would be dangerous to baby. It is recommended to lay the Milk Storage Bag flat to freeze, as it makes the thawing process quicker and easier

Is it possible to pump directly into the Breastmilk Storage Bags?
Yes, it is possible to conveniently pump directly into Breastmilk Storage Bags with any Lansinoh® pump.  To pump directly into the bag with a non-Lansinoh pumps, a pump into bag adapter is required (sold separately).  The pump into bag adapter is compatible with most Medela®, Ameda®, Evenflo®, or other standard neck pumps.

What is the best way to store milk in a Breastmilk Storage Bag?
For optimum performance, remove the excess air from the bag, verify that the bag is not overfilled, zipper close the top making sure it is sealed all the way to the ends, and lay flat to freeze.  Since plastic can sometimes stick to the freezer rack, especially if it is even slightly wet, it is recommended to place the flat bags in a container or a Ziploc® freezer bag.  This will also protect the bags from coming in contact with other frozen items.
